Type and Identity of Organization
BdSoN is a non-partisan, voluntary, altruistic, research and development-oriented organization. It is characterized as “co-producer” of social capital and public goods by the meaning of promoting skills, attitudes, and knowledge of nonviolence in the society.
Mission
The mission of BdSoN is to empower youth and students with knowledge, skills, and attitudes on nonviolence in order to build a culture of peace and harmony in every stratum of society in Bangladesh.
Vision
Envisioning for a safer and better society by inculcating values and principles of nonviolence among the community so that mutual trust, reciprocity, cooperation, tolerance becomes the prevailing mantra of societal development.
Guiding Principles
BdSoN is guided by humanistic principles of altruism, civility and civicness. Its activities are driven by the responsibility to understand and respect, thereby, highlights on the values of just society and democratic citizenship.
